Nestled in the lush forests surrounding Karatu, this eco lodge offers a tranquil getaway up in the hills. the rooms, made of natural materials, create a cozy atmosphere, with comfortable beds and the unique experience of sleeping under a transparent roof. the staff, such as Rafael, Ernest, and Anita, are friendly and attentive. Guests can enjoy delicious meals, including vegetarian options, and take in the stunning views from the balcony. the lodge's commitment to supporting the local community, such as building schools and aiding villagers, adds to its appeal.
While the lodge offers a fantastic experience, it is a bit expensive compared to other options in the area.

I had the most magical experience at this new lodge nestled in the lush forests surrounding Karatu. The enthusiastic team made me feel right at home. The lodge is perfectly located for exploring Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and other nearby parks. I even had the pleasure of having Ernest as my guide during a safari in Ngorongoro, and it was absolutely fantastic. The bungalow was cozy and comfortable, and the whole team was incredibly kind and helpful. The lodge also supports the locals and has plans to build schools with the benefits they receive. The food was top-notch, and the lodges were made of natural materials, creating a wonderful atmosphere. I also loved the hot-water bags in my bed and the breathtaking view from the balcony. I highly recommend this lodge for an unforgettable stay.
While it was tough to get hot water, I understand their desire to be efficient and use solar power. However, it would have been nice to have hot showers on cold days.

Who needs good communication and local advice when you have "hakuna matata" and a welcome song?

The rooms at Foresight Eco Lodge were cozy and comfortable, perfect for a family like ours. The private bathroom was clean, and the bed linen made us feel right at home. We loved relaxing on the patio of our selected room, enjoying the tranquil surroundings.
Personally, I found the shower in the private bathroom a bit small. But hey, that's just my opinion!
